I aimed to explore the concept of parasocial relationships, the one-sided bonds fans form with celebrities. The film centers on a celebrity who is unaware of her own fame, delving into the complexities of these imagined connections.
With six unique locations, including permitted city streets, a cast of six actors traveling from various places in New York, and only three days to complete a 20-page script, efficient scheduling and detailed production were crucial to pulling it all off. Every shoot day was strategically planned to maximize time and budget, while still allowing room for creative exploration..
Stepping into the role of Director for my first short film in this capacity was both a challenge and a thrill. The entire process has been an incredible learning journey, from developing the initial concept and directing my crew to collaborating closely with my composer. Each stage has taught me something valuable about filmmaking that I look forward to carrying with me into the next chapter of my career!
