In this scripted, unscripted hybrid series, two ex-interns frustrated with the corporate ladder, set out to launch the next big star, using wildly unorthodox methods that blurs the line between strategy and delusion.
During my junior year, I had the opportunity to spend a semester in Los Angeles. With a few fellow students, we developed a hybrid scripted-unscripted comedy, filmed guerrilla-style to adapt to the limitations of our small program.
Jake Isler, Roman Doyle, and I were involved in nearly every aspect of production, from writing and producing to directing scenes based on who wrote them. It was one of the most collaborative experiences I’ve had, where no ideas were shut down, only reworked to reflect the whole team’s input.
While I have no intentions of acting, it was a really fun experience to get a perspective from in front of the camera, which I believe has helped with my vision as a filmmaker and creator. This concept was a really fun experience and I really enjoyed the ability to improv scenes and moments.
